Michael Greene, MD, a cardiothoracic surgeon based in Melbourne, received the Physician’s Recognition Award with commendation in continuing medical education. The American Medical Association (AMA) gives the award annually to physicians showing exemplary commitment to patient care though continuing medical education.
Greene’s recognition honored his educational activities that serve to maintain, develop or increase the knowledge, skills, professional performance and relationships a physician uses to provide services for patients and the public.
Established in 1968, the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award today stands as the most widely accepted award for recognizing physician CME achievement.
In addition, Greene emphasizes the importance for physicians to promote good general health and active community service.
